China executes about 8000 people a year (got to remember theres a billion chinese...8000 is what percent of a billion).  Seems likely most of those executed are murderers, rapists, thieves....and folks who dont play by the rules of the chinese red commies.

Might as well get some use out of organs they no longer need.  Rather than wasting organs on ill people sentanced to life in prison :cry

Hi Yeager,

Actually the practice is far more horrific than you paint it, for instance the following is from USINFO.STATE.GOV -

Quote

"Finally, we shall hear testimony about China's barbaric policy of harvesting human organs for sale and transplant.  China admits it does this.  According to China's Ministry of Health, since 1993, there have been over 65,000 transplant procedures performed in China.  China's Deputy Health Minister recently stated that 95 percent of the organs for organ transplants performed in China are from executed Chinese prisoners.  Of course it claims it only harvests the organs of executed prisoners, and only if they or their families consent.  But what value can such a statement have in a country where the death penalty is virtually an assembly line process?  Where according to the Department of State's Human Rights Report for 2005, foreign experts estimate between five and twelve thousand people are executed every year?

Chinese courts hand down the death sentence for an ever-expanding range of crimes, including nonviolent and political crimes.  Appeals are conducted hastily, if at all.  In an effort to boost profits, it is reported that some provincial or local officials in China have begun to allow mobile medical vans at execution sites to facilitate the ease and efficiency with which prisoners' organs may be harvested.  We have all heard the recent horrific stories that China is now targeting the thousands of innocent Falun Gong prisoners it holds for organ harvesting, and perhaps not even waiting until they are dead.  The State Department and the UN Special Rapporteur for Torture, Manfred Nowak, have been investigating.  They must get to the truth of these blood-curdling stories, and do everything to stop this shameful practice."

Some of the organs taken go to Chinese on waiting lists, the majority are sold to the highest bidder. The best way to ensure that an organ is viable for transplant is to take it from a living person, hence the concern that reports that organs are being removed from live prisoners in camps is probably well-founded. This is a barbaric and unconscionable practice, and precisely the same kind of thing we executed people for at Nuremburg, but not surprising given the materialist philosophy of the Chinese state.

They use firing squad for most/all executions then?  Modern Marvels said most new age technology renders all organs useless.  Hanging and firing squad are the only 2 that I can remember were viable sources for organ harvesting.  And nitrogen asphyxiation, but that's not in practice.  At any rate it sounds kinda creepy.

If you use recycled hemp fiber for the rope, then hanging is a totally green way to execute.  No greenhouse gasses, no electricity needed...

Prisoner #3,098,876,987 you are scheduled to have a "medical check up today, follow me".

Doctor, "This is a vitamin b shot for your health" ... meanwhile injecting {insert fancy drug of choice here}.

Prisoner's Death Certificate :   Cause of death: Lack of Internal Organs

On the other hand, maybe China has a good idea;

Judge, 20 years in prison or 1 eye and 1 kidney, it has corporate profit appeal considering corporations run  jails, health care and governments.

When it comes to China Im inclined to let the Chinese handle themselves.  I also heard a commie chinese guy talking about how the harvesting is voluntary and the condemned mans family reaps a reward as well.  They also handle the harvesting humanely so as not to upset the organ

Again, I think China will morph itself into the best approximation of....itself, as can best be expected excluding globull thermo-nukular war

8000 executions in China equals to .7 pro mille of the population.....roughly.
That would equal to some 2500 people in the European community, some 2000 in the US etc.
They use hanging a lot. The best ropes are made of Flax (linen) not hemp (which is close).

If you really want to know how I know this, let me know :D
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Yeah, better not be a political prisoner or jaywalk in China. Sold to the highest bidder, wow. It's amazing this doesn't get more media coverage. Maybe cause American business is getting rich trading with them. That's why I have to laugh when I get sold on the war in Iraq that we are there to save the Iraqi people, it's almost laughable
