B-17G and P-38L
« on: May 01, 2006, 08:06:22 AM »
The B-17G cheek guns are still incorrect.

Also, the firing of the P-38L rockets is graphically incorrect, the last 4 rockets specifically. Fire your 6th rocket and your down to 2 on each side.
You fire the 7th and and still have 4 remaining and when you fire the 8th it now leaves you 2 showing. Similar with rocket #9 after it's been fired and it still shows 2 remaining under the wing. Fire your last one and then the last 2 vanish.
Watch this in external view and it's obvious.

Regarding the firing order. Is the sequence correct? They don't aleternate from side to side and two consecutive rockets will fire off the same wing.
IIRC other US planes with rockets like that they cycle left/right for each rocket.

Edit- just did some TA checking. Some fire rockets just like the 38L with a pair coming off the same side and the rockets not disappearing and some do. The ones I found that do fire symetrically are P-51D, P-38G & J, and all F4U models. The P-47 line fires asymetrically.

Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.
