Pretty sure it's video driver related. What video card and driver are you using? ( Be specific. )

I'm guessing a ATI 9xxx series video card?  They had that problem alot with the wrong drivers.

AS SOA2 said , if you have a ATI 9xxx series VC , the 4.12 catylast drivers will fix the issue .
