So, do you translate for a living? How do you "know" what  he said?

The Iranian president really didn't mean to imply that he wants Isreal wiped off the map.....that's why he always corrects the "translation" errors after they explode in the west's news headlines, causing world-wide condemation.

Really, he is just a misunderstood peace seaker.

I am not sure that Israel even shows up on the maps in ME schools. I recall seeing this on a CBC documentary. I remember seeing classrooms where kids were being brainwashed with a variety of anti-western hatred.

Anyway my point is that in their ME schoolbooks, the maps of the ME don't show the existence of Israel. It's simply not on the map.

Rummy the Dummy?

The near-dead Mummy?

that old retired CIA analyst ate him for breakfast.

was almost sorry for Rummy.. he just seemed kinda punchy, alzheimierish even.

That old bastard should be asked to step down. He ain't 100%.. and that job needs a 100 percenter in the seat.

Only if you think that my keys were not put in my ignition by some conpirators.

The point is that saying "they're are in the area of... somewhat" is not much of a definitive statement, much like someone declaring, "Gawdammit, I just know my keys are in here, somewhere."

It would noy make me a liar if I denied saying "I know they are here"

What I got from the posted reference was that the statement, “We know where they are.” is much less definite than the statement when taken in context.

A statement saying, "I know my keys are here" is much different from "I know my keys are here... somewhere."

Context means a bunch.

OK go ahead, let one of the countries over there have a nuclear bomb. if they don't use it against another country before we all die of old age I'll admit being wrong, but when they use it I'm going to say I told you so.
Believe me I hope I'm wrong about it, I really don't like the idea of haveing mushroom clouds everywhere.

How could you be defending such a messed up analogy?

Rumsfeld said: "We know where they are."

This implies, well, knowledge, and the expression of same. It doesn't matter if WMD turned out to be "in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat." He told us it was somewhere there. He supposedly knew.

But it wasn't there.

See the problem?

So I dunno what kinda satellites yer using, but I don't know how you can see something that isn't there. I don't know how you can even infer it.

Let me ask you this, Holden....

How does something that doesn't even exist get noticed, identified, examined, analyzed, and then propagandized into a war?

How?

Rummy didn't lie..... my arse. They all did. No matter where you lost yer keys.

Lol..... It's like you want us to think that this was all some kind of tragic accident... .... no different than the mistake of a set of misplaced keys.

Did you ever wonder why Colin Powell is not SecDef? Experience, judgement, oh wait, he told Bush he would'nt be a lackey. Nevermind.

I think we can deal with the situation prior to it going nuclear. I don't think this administration is the one to deal with it though. Who can trust 'em now?

And just thinking about Rummy the Old Dummy being the guy El Presidente 'has full confidence in' with the football makes my sphinchter shrink.
