I think we need to have higgens boats so we can transport troops from carriers to the shores like DDay, June 6th, 1944 where the Allies attacked hitler's atlantic wall with them.

Also, can sum1 get a pic of one so if my wish is made, i can make a custom skin. TY!:)

No point except maybe ToD i meen CT... for towns are usually to far away and i doubt we have troop technology where they actually use them pistols they got. PLus Lvt is much easier and can be used by a carrier.

Couldn't a pilot in a chute, shoot through the front end of a Higgins boat, killing the troops?

Well, if Hitech creations makes a beach map with bunkers on beachheads, then this would be GREAT for it!:furious (He is DUR DUR DUR!). The boats would almost be like C47's so U cant shoot in them.

That's what we need on the wishlist. Troops that fire at enemies within a certain range! Would be nice if they would actually stand up for themselves!

We have bunkers and beach heads???

I mean that if a beach map is made where one team starts out with some airfields and carriers and tries to infiltrate a beachhead where a bunker can be that's what higgens boats can be used for!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad:

Perhaps the differences would be that when the boat beached it's self and droped the door, the troop would be programmed to make a beeline for the maproom. that they would have to be shot or blown up to stop them.

We had some epic amphibious battles using the Solmon Islands map in the CAP event. The included Naval Surface engagments, Naval artillary bombardment, and even swimming those LVTs to shore for the capture.

At the time I really wanted Higgens boats, but I knew that the maps would have to be specially tailored for them to work. Essentially, Map rooms would have to be located on the beach very close to the water (close enough so that when dropped from the beach the troops would run for them). We kicked around the idea of a "D-Day" map using map rooms close to the shore to show whether a beachead was secured, but given that there are few people willing to drive an LVT around, it just didn't seem to justify the effort.

But still, those CAP frames from 2003 were some of the best times I had in AH.

So, i just want some higgens boats in the game. They can only be destroyed if they blow up or if they get shot like lvt's and pt boats. Once they reach the shore, they can just run into the beachead and try to take the beach. If lots of ppl use higgens boats together, it will be effective and it will work. Sry I don't know how to add an image. Can sum1 tell me how ty.
