All I can think is... What's going through the heads of any crew left on board....

I think it's that ground-attack Henschel, 1 pilot. I wouldn't be surprised if the pilot was able to right it in time to ditch safely. The plane was slow as hell even when it worked.

However, I also wouldn't be surprised if he was already dead when the picture was taken.

What is that thing coming out of the left wing?  Looks like a pod of some sort, search light, radar???  (Just guessing ;) )

looks like stick & rudder are full over to the right & someone made the fatal mistake of turning into the dead engine. not pleasant to look at.  what that thing sticking up from the port wing?

Tail is wrong for the HS129 as is the fuselage spine which should be more squared off. Looks part Ju88 but makes me wonder if it's a doctored photo of some sort.  Russian produced for wartime propoganda maybe?

Odd sized  H-stabs, tiny V-stab, upper wing Balkenkreuz in a very weird position (including a left wing one which looks doctored), fuselage starts out with a peak and then suddenly rounds out at the shoulders, no fuselage markings besides the plain Balkenkreuz, smoke seems to be going in several directons at once...

Yeah, I'd say its altered. almost looks like parts of an Hs129, He177 and Ju88 thrown together with obliterated and reapplied basic markings.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I think it's a book print of a painting. That would explain the anomalies. Also, what's the chance of someone taking that shot with a camera back then?
