Host connection lost while loading game
« on: September 08, 2005, 08:20:14 PM »
I am having trouble with losing the host connection while selecting the arena and waiting for skins / graphics to preload.  Usually the first time I do it, it drops.  The second time I load, I guess it already has some of the graphics in cache and goes much faster, and I end up connecting in time.  Is there a standard "wait" time that the server used before dropping a client?  Is there any way I can change it on the client side?  Thanks in advance.

Also, why does the game terminate and close on a Host Connection drop?  Why not just have it back out to the main menu screen?  Very annoying......

Do not check the "Preload skins" option, unless your computer has 2GB of RAM, or more.

Do not check the "Preload into video ram" option unless you are running a video card with 256MB of RAM (or more) AND are using 256 texture sizes.
