Radio issues...
« on: May 07, 2006, 07:57:16 PM »
Up until yesterday, my voice communication was working fine in AH2 and then stopped.

I have verified that my mic is working properly in Windows XP, by going to the Sound Recorder in the Entertainment section of the Start Menu, and recording a test sound.

However, in the game, it seems I am unable to transmit. No game settings have changed that I'm aware of. I am currently using the Aces High layout from Cougar World for my Cougar HOTAS, and have buttons S1 and S4 set to Range Mic and Tuneable Mic respectively.

However, I cannot get a response from anyone in game by saying "Radio check" when pressing either button, so I am only to assume they're not hearing my message.

Any thoughts?

I know this doesn't help, but it just seems to happen from time to time. Check today or tomorrow and see if it works. Like I said, sometimes it just seems to go out. Happens to me, vox will die, then the next day it's fine again. If it comes back on it's own then I'd just chalk it up to vodoo:D

change the tuneable vox channel to your name.  or type .radio 5 (your name)

i.e. I would type  .radio 5 wmlute

then click T to talk, and see if you can hear yourself.

great way to check what your vox sounds like to others
