Need info on Denmark, Sweden or Finland...
« on: August 15, 2001, 12:37:00 PM »
Erm, just a quick question realy, I'm planning to get up there for a week in the beginning of September.

Are there lodging possibilities like B&B's, how's rail travel, we're thinking about moving around a bit, and don't want to get stuck in one spot.

Any info, url's welcome  :)

(might also get to kick Santa if we go for Denmark  ;) )

thx in advance.

Trains and busses works fine, used to travel lots in those earlier. If you have time spend some in a one of ships traveling between Sweden, Finland and Estonia.

Sweden is have GREAT train/subway/busses/air transportation system, second to none methinks   :)

You should hurry tough the winter is comin only about 1 1/2 month left of the summer here   :)

If you going to Stockholm then you can live here, you wont be living any cheeper in the heart of Stockholm (really nice by the waterside)

Sweden's rail system is second only to the Danish one  :). Much smaller country and all that means that stations are closer. Not too expensive either.

Dunno about lodging, but we do have an awful lot of tourists here so I don't think it'll be a problem.

Lemme know if you drop by Denmark Saw! I can prolly find a case of beer or two if I look real hard  :)

You can travel quite comfortably with car from Danmark-Sweden-Finland. I just tried that one early in summer and the highways in Sweden are fast and we could keep the speed up 150kmh most of the time.

Remember to visit the Christiania in Kopenhagen.. ;)
Theres some nice souvenirs sold.
