perks associated with pilot
« on: September 12, 2008, 01:59:22 PM »
I know that this may be weird but the perks should be given to pilot according to plane style like it is PLUS say if a pilot with a 2300 rating kills a pilot with 200 rating they be given a bonus 10 percent perks.  like wise if a 200 kills a 2300 pilot he be given a 5 percent increase. does this sound fair??  :pray

Nope.

Score means nothing; it is not directly related to pilot skill - it is directly related to how well someone can "game the game".

Agreed. The only bonus you should receive is if you land... Properly.

Just imagine for a moment that a truly talented player that can actually fight is ranked #1 for once and not a dweeb that 'tower sits' waiting for just the right moment to fight. This #1 player is fighting six guys down low and slow and the last guy manages to force #1 guy to slow WAY down to stay behind him and kill him but now #1 guy is out of ammo and sets himself up to go home but now #5839 guy sees him and drops down from uber-k alt and manages to hit him with two .30 cal bullets and kills him. While I find this extremely funny and perhaps even ironic I do not in any way think #5839 guy should get anything special for his troubles.

Have a nice day.

In general, I find it much less challenging to shoot down the better ranked guys, assuming I'm in a plane that can catch them.

There are exceptions, of course.

I think you should just get perks for shooting someone down like Joker2 or Bruv119. Its always fun seeing that in the text buffer :P

Or skyrock or AADEATH  :aok

I like the sentiment but not the idea in this form. We need to fix the system so that score means something before looking into this... :salute
