And I needed one bad! What a wonderful vacation! Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World ROCKS!

We did soooo much in 6 days. To summarize:

Day 1, Downtown Disney

Day 2, Animal Kingdom (And character breakfast)

Day 3, MGM Studios

Day 4 Epcot (and Reflections that evening)

Day 5 Blizzard Beach AND Typhoon Lagoon

Day 6 Magic Kingdom (And Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the Poly)

I took over 500 pictures, but rather than post links to them all, I'm going to post links to the most scenic pictures I've taken on this trip. Link 1 is called "The architecture and beauty of Disney".

Link 2 is Animal Kingdom Lodge. (They upgraded us from a standard room to a Savannah room on the 2nd floor! Unbelievable view!)

Pics taken with Nikon D70 6.1megapixel, 17-70mm Nikkor lens and 70-300mm Nikkor lens, UV shaded filter. Also, some taken with Canon G6 7.0 megapixel with wide angle lens.

I brought an Aqua Pak for my Canon, so I have some video (320 res and 640 res) of underwater stuff! Shark Reef, Splash Mountain ride, Kali Falls ride, Typhoon waves coming right at me, Test Track video, etc. I'll post these later in the week once I get them editted.

Enjoy!

I went to Bob Wills Days in Turkey, Texas. Don't have any pics, but I got this neat tattoo...
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Week 2, Animal Kingdom (And character breakfast)

Week  3, MGM Studios

Week  4 Epcot (and Reflections that evening)

Week  5 Blizzard Beach AND Typhoon Lagoon

Week  6 Magic Kingdom (And Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the Poly)

Your kids will probably remember it for the rest of their lives.  I still remember going when I was a little kid (like less than 5).  Glad you had a good time too :).

Vacation started June 12th, 2004. So far, it's still going........   :p  :rofl

I spent most of a week at Disney Florida back in early March.  Unsuprisingly enough, I have a lot of the same pics :)

I stayed in the military owned Shades of Green resort.  What a great deal.  If I played golf it would be even better and I was a bit disappointed that Disney doesn't offer ANY military discount at all (unlike Bush gardens which has a ton of offers for all of their parks) but I guess nothing about Disney has ever implied "cheap" or "inexpensive" so I wasn't suprised.  As pricey as it was, it was still worth it.  There still are some ways to save money there, so it's just a matter of trading time/effort for savings.

Little things...  Like filling the trunk with drinks BEFORE going to the disney resort area, can save over $100 for two people over the course of a week.  A coke just outside the park is $.35 (24-pak at supermarket), a coke at the hotel is $1.00, and a coke inside the parks can cost around $2.50.  The same goes for food, water, sunscreen, hats, etc, so a little pre-planning on the logistics front can give you some real savings.  Then you can blow those savings treating your kids to mickey mouse pancakes for lunch and a $20 mickey/minnie t-shirt :)
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Nice pictures.  Looks like your kids had a vacation they will never forget.
Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.

did you know a lot of the mosaic work in the Disney castle is by non other than Hans Schraf?

i think this guy probably had face time with more WWII aces than Hap Arnold.
he appears in at least half a dozen different books i've read by various pilots & seems to have been quite a decent fellow

As promised, some video taken with my Aqua Pak'd Canon camera in video mode. Its only 320 resolution, but the convenience of being able to even take video while getting wet, or submerging in water is definately worth the low resolution!

Some of these will take a  min. or so to load, so be patient and definately don't look at these if you're on dial-up modems!

Just got back yesterday from 11 days there.  Also did the Shades of Green option as well as Eagl.  We skipped test track since my wife was on the edge from Mission Space.  Not sure what G's that ride pulls but if you have a weak gut you might want to skip it.

My 2 year son had the time of his life despite not really having a clue as to what was going on.

Aye, we skipped Mission Space. Test track is pretty mild though, you pull 2 g's in a a couple tight corners, but thats it.
