Hehe, hopefully they won't have to go thru the long journey it took our armour to become more realistic. By the tone of HS, sounds like maybe a year away!

And probably 2 years away here.   Last I checked, AH tanks still do 300 mph downhill.   :)

"Last I checked, AH tanks still do 300 mph downhill"

 ?? Thats a feature!!! Not a bug  ;)

The thing about the WB's gv's is how so many tunes changed by so many who called AH an arcade for having them. I like the irony  :)

Ya, HT said many times that the downhill cruise is a gameplay consession for the uphill climbs..ah well, most enjoy it!

I really like the fact that they disabled the external view for tanking, makes it exciting, and fog of warish, GV's have along way to go in AH, but as a nice diversion to the real reason we're here, it fits nicely.

Yeah maybe HT will give my B-26 a Mach 2 dive ability to make up for the slow climb.

LOL Funked!

I agree one hundred percent.

Funked.   lol  :)  I guess it could be a serious problem if the vehicles were in the least bit controllable. but they're not. It' like wild bellybutton luge run  :) Basically it's only a lark and without the beta terrain I see no problem. I forget the base to the southwest/west of A1 in the beta terrain but bug or not that used to be a  lot of fun to attack from the vehicle hangar above.

Our tanks are nothing to write home about either, anyone remember what it was like when the osti was introduced? Seemed much worse than what these WBIII ppl are saying.

Even now the PanzerIV is more vulnerable than either osti or M16 or M3. Add to this the ease of killing a tanks tracks with even light MG.

On the issue of tcak killing in AH. Currently when your "track" is killed the tank lists dramatically to the side of the damaged track. This is comepletly unrealistic and baseless. killing the track of a tank would not cause it to tilt to one side. The broken track would simply roll off some more off the drive sprocket, but the majority would most commonly stay on.

To achive the dramatic tilt of the the AH model one would have to completly blow off 2 or 3 of the PanzerIVs 4 suspensiuon units on one side. MG doesnt do that.

The whole issue of any MG taking out the track seems laregly bogus to me. I have never read of anyone in RL using MG even .50cal class weapons to kill the track of WW2 tanks. The way to kill tracks was by use of satchel charges, HE fire, Mines, not MG fire.

Now im not defending that abortion of a sim WBIII, but lets not make fun of them and be arrogant on account of tank modeling as AH is really not substantially  better than it and still has a long way to go to achive even a slight amount of tank realism.
