Recently i was chewed up by something and when i virus scanned it my cpu turned off, and deleted some windows files.

short story is i had to reboot to factory settings. lost all of my hard drive and programs.


for some reason the most recent full game download of aceshigh wont load up after i install it. crashes even before the splash screen where you login.

any ideas?


aside random question, i have a popup that asks me to register windows online, will my PC be limited untill i do?

Most likely you're not running Dx9.x but AH usually tells you that but since you can't get that far,... it won't run if you have a driver problem with either your vid or sound cards.

Start->Run->DXDIAG

thank you sir, the problem was an incorrect sound driver. found and d/l the right one.
