How many years married?

6 Years to wife #1 so I took a hiatus from being married (12 years) and have 6 years to wife #2. Hoping for many many years with her if she remains in remission.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Throttleu how can that sound like a one way relationship? LoL, how can you even make a comment about someone you do not even know there history? Yes like any relationship there are ups and downs, but communication, respect each other, and our union centered on God has made this a great marriage.

BTAirsol listen to yourself  when I got home she let me know just how much she missed me and wanted me. I say no more, the rest is my treasure.  Everything is "I" or "she".  That's why I'll never make the mistake that all you people make.

Dated my wife for the first time on the Friday before Thanksgiving.

Asked her to marry me on Christmas Eve.

Got married in April of 1979.

27 years and counting.

Sounds like a good choice for you and a better choice for her.

Seven years here.

throttleu, I agree with midnights statement "better choice for the both of you." Sounds like you are bitter? Again you are off base making a determination about a one way relationship you know nothing about. You cannot be accurate from one sentence that I wrote.

Take no offence but you know nothing of which you speak.  A good marriage takes two people working on it at all times.

With a negative attitude and doomsday predictions, you will get out exactly what you bring in to the relationship.
Do not attribute to malice what can be easily explained by incompetence, fear, ignorance or stupidity, because there are millions more garden variety idiots walking around in the world than there are blackhearted Machiavellis.

*sigh*

I'm jealous of you guys. I've failed miserably as a husband. I'm a better friend and a good dad though. we're still on each others 'dinner out' list.. after 25 years.
