Hehe... Something tells me that if a "17 year old child" (<---- rofl right there) was "chocolate", then you'd have a completely different category for child.

How about 17 year-old juvenile Lee Malvo?

Child? Treated and tried as such? What say you?

Two completely different cases, but there is something very disturbing to me about latching onto "chocolate" when you could have chosen, for example, "devastated," or "nearly forgotten."

"chocolate" was Ray "willy wonka" Nagins term for New Orleans...blame him.

He & Gov. Blanco are responsible for the outcome in New Orleans.

Ray Nagin is #1 - it was his responsibility to order the evacuation & to mobilize the cities resources to carry it out. Ever see the pictures of the hundreds of city school buses sitting underwater?

Gov.Blanco is #2 - she had the duty as head of the state government to call in the natl. guard & keep the federal govt. up to date on their immediate situation & needs & she dropped the ball by telling the federal govt. that all was well & the levees held HOURS after they had failed, watch her win re-election too.

I say let the sea have new orleans & mayor wonka too. Those so called "people" acted like savages in the aftermath of that hurricane & they have no one to blame but themselves for being there when it hit. They had plenty of advance warning it was coming. Screw 'em.

"Those so called "people."

?

Those so-called people "acted like savages?

Wtf?

It gives you away.

"I say let the sea have new orleans & mayor wonka too."

Then excuse everyone else for nodding their heads politely at you, and moving on to figuring out how to save a great city.

Some of you guys are just nuts. Sorry, but.

Well let me confuse you with the facts. Those "so called people" you saw in the aftermath of Katrina don't own property in New Orleans. Those who weren't renters were public housing occupants. You can be sure it wasn't home owners from Lakeview looting WalMart for pampers. You want my house to sink because of them? Well what about the houses sinking in the north east? The should get a free pass because they get better news footage? Show the housing project side of town, like they did in New Orleans. Are you telling me there are no housing projects in the northeast?

There is footage of New Orleans that doesn't look like Haiti. The news media refuses to show it because of their agenda.

Nagin and Blanco ought to be hanged for the damage and death they allowed to happen due to their extreme ignorance, incompetence and stupidity.

Nash in reply, what was your point? It didn't register with me. I said what I said & I meant it. The savages that were running rampant at the superdome & the ones who were shooting at rescuers who were trying to help people & the ones looting T.V.'s & booze etc.

You can twist what I said anyway you wish & it doesn't change the facts. I am aware you are trying to make it look as though I am a racist & mean blacks, & I do, & whites & mexicans & asians & anyone else who did those things.

Again I must say, what do housing projects in the northeast or New Orleans have to do with it? Hinting at racism?

Let me spell it out for you. If you are too stupid to get out of the way of a hurricane that you know is coming, and you also know you are below sea level; a fact that has been known for over 200 years, don't expect the population of the Untied States et al to foot the bill to fix the damage.

If you didn't loot or rape or murder or cause general unrest for your fellow mankind in a time of emergency & your home is above sea level & therefore didn't flood, my remarks don't apply to you.

Now let me confuse you with the facts; hurricanes hit the coast. WOW, shocking revelation huh. I do not want my taxes going to any hurricane damage repair period no matter where it occurs. You chose to live there, live with the consequences of your choices. I think the federal govt. should not have spent one penny to rebuild anything, do it yourself or the state that was damaged can do it.

I've heard every arguement, I've heard people say, "nothing bad happened to anyone in the superdome", I've heard the "it was all poor people who couldn't get out" Well where was Nagin with all those buses that these idiots voted for AFTER leaving them in a spot?

I was living in a tent on a river bank for weeks away from my family trying to help those people, I had to eat MRE's & wait in line for water & fuel, I dealt with people calling me a donutwood & a cracker & saying it was MY fault that they got abandoned by their own govt. of choice. I came in from my 16 hour shift & found my shoes & my clothes stolen. Screw 'em.

Where do you live that isn't on a fault line? Am I paying for you to live on a fault line or fire zone. People on the coast pay the highest insurance premiums in the country. WE subsidize YOUR insurance. Thats a simple fact.

Sorry your clothes were stolen - cry me a river. I haven't had sheetrock in my kitchen or bathroom in 4 months and haven't slept over 6 hours in one night in 6 months. You know, I really don't care about your bad day. Tell me why the United states should write off a city. Did we write off California beach homes during El'Nino? How much money was paid for west coast fires?
