Meet in the Axis and Allies Arena at approx 8:50 pm et to form up and join the missions. There will likely be 1 mission for the Lancasters, and one for the Naval contingent.

Note that there are some very nice Fleet Air Arm skins for the Hellcat and Corsair (and probably the TBM, maybe the SBD?) by Greebo, would add a nice touch.

Although it cost many planes, the Tirpitz was destroyed as she tried to make her way to sea. all...made a nice film of that one!

Thoroughly enjoyable:

These "immersion" missions are the most fun I had with clothes on in some time.

Great mission!
I was going go Alied, but the numbers were a bit off, so I stayed Axis. Got 2 or 3 buff's and got shotdown every time.

Was great fun.

This mission was just awesome!!!!  I took off late because I was furballing with a low F6F over a neutral base.  upon landing I grabbed a 110 and went up tp 23k.  Lancs were being reported at 21k over squad.  as they came into view I couldn't believe the sight.  there must have been 12 boxes of very disciplined formations, the first time ever playing this game where my heart starts to race with an adrenalin rush.  In my excitement I forget to throttle back and missed the pass on the lead boxes.  I pulled the power and kicked rudder to bleed airspeed as I made a pass at the last box but rammed it and died.  I was firing full battery as I went in so I believe I got my target but I'll never know.  Upped again and went straight to the tirpitz catching the buffs from below and behind taking two out from different boxes, Dove to dodge a spit coming up hot on my 6, he pings me with BBs and overshoots, a team mate takes him out.  I chandelled left poured on the coal and went for a complete box, getting the last of those three with just my last rounds of 20mm.  landed 5 kills.  It was over in the blink of an eye but intensly immersive.  Great job as usual FiLtH

Special thanks to the Nightmares, Ghosts, and CAF who took the part as Lancaster pilots along with the escort we got. When I arrived in the arena there were 7 people in it. I was a little concerned. Then a couple guys came in and went to the MA and next thing I know Im increasing the number of slots in the mission!

Also storch thanks for helping with location lastnight we needed it, as the clouds over the target area were real bad. I think the called intercept point works out nicely, and everybody seems to honor it to a tee. Nice work!
