Falling through deck of CV
« on: May 20, 2006, 03:19:54 AM »
Fell through deck of CV twice last night.

Once i was in a 190A-8, landed, reversed, stopped, rearming...

weeeeeeeee SYSTEM: You have crashed

one was not amused!

Second time, landing a F6F, hit the deck, slowly fall through deck and into the hangar below.  Manage to .ef out before i died.

As fun as this feature is to keep you on your toes about whether you live or die... please can it be changed? :(
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

Last night I was afk while on a cv and when I got back I hear bombs coming and cv sinks. Yet on my end I then see two carriers; one sinking and the other floating on. I watched as someone tried to fly but fell into the water. When I changed views the phantom cv vanished.

Phantom CV has been an ongoing problem for a long long time now.

Usually manifests itself in one of two ways -

a) You see people taking off a landing on an invisible CV close to the one you are on. (sent film of this to Skuzzy)

b) At the extreme it has been known for a CV to be in two different places up to 12 miles apart. Got so silly one time one of the CV's was steaming through an island.

And yet Furball was right. I had been afk for quite a while when I then tried to launch from a cv. I fell through the deck and was killed before being able to try again and launch and survive. The cv wasnt turning and I had just started my engine when the deck gave way.

The carrier must be moving.

Jake you make no sense whatsoever. Can you clarify your statement?
