the 'Duxford Dolls', No. XIX Squadron RAF and the 91st Bombardment Group USAAF, are now opening their doors fully to anyone. In the past we have only recruited those with some level of experience, however, now that the squad is fully operational, and our training structure is fairly organised, we are accepting anyone who would like to join.
some very basic facts and requirements:
1) we are recruiting anyone of any age, however we ask that if you are fairly young (under 16 or so) that you do have a mature attitude. we aren't particular interested in loudmouth little kids, but if you're a decent guy/gal, we'd love to have you
2) we have no squadnights or anything like that, or rankings, which allows people to play in their own time. some squads make it compulsary to attend squadnights regularly, which i feel is a little unfair, especially for those who are usually quite busy.
3) we have our own private squad forum on these boards, which helps a lot with communication and conversations/agreements. the odd joke or two helps too
we are also planning a website, although this wont be done for a little while.
4) most squad members are very decent pilots and active members of the community. if this is your first squad, or even if it isnt, we are easily capable of training you to your full potential and exposing you to more of the community and the game.
5) we fly any planes we wish, and we are very laid back with what we do and what others wish to do, although most of us fly together, just because it's always good fun to fly with your mates
we are also very active in the AvA arena, where we have a strong partnership with grupul 7 vanatoare, a squad many of us are also members of. in there we try to fly as historically as possible, to add to the immersion
in general, we're a great, fun squad to fly with, many of us very proficient in any vehicle or plane in AH, but above all, we're all here for fun. we aren't too serious, and our main goal is not to have a great rank or kill/death ratio, but to expand as a unit, and forge many friendships, within the squad and with other players and squads
if you're loking for a first squad, or just a change from the usual, we would be happy to take you on. we consist of players from all over the globe, england, west and eastern europe, america, and soon many more
we are currently bishop, on vox channel 191, although we are likely to change to any side that is having a hard time, to lend our services and balance the arena
