My Farewell Post
« on: May 29, 2006, 09:09:35 AM »
Hey guys, Not many of you will know me but I thought it best to post here and at least let the people who do know me know that I am leaving aces high.

There are only a couple of reasons for it, but it's stuff everyone will have heard before so I ain't going to bother you with the details.

I would like to take this opportunity to give my sincere thanks to the squad that took me on and taught me so much about the game (444th Airmafia) I really will miss you all but most of all the following members who I have become quite friendly with:

akamixer
MugZ
Fedj57
Fryman
Moto61
wolf8u
rusty
Darknux
hap4

I will miss the other members too so don't feel upset if I have forgotten anyone!

I would also like to say thanks to other on bish who actually did give a crap about winning the war and also helped me a LOT:

ghi
doom
dynamite
dstyve
jimbeam
kev367th
Hammy!!!  whos now a knit (traitor) :p
NORD1

and finally to those who have shot me down countless times (you know who you are) It was a pleasure fighting against you!

I doubt I will ever return to aces high but it has been a blast !

so with a heavy heart this is me signing off...

Have fun on your break from AH.

They always come back with the urge to get back into a cockpit.

Youll find yourself in a few weeks with twitches from your body wanting you to get back into AH. :)

“Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night sweet prince, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

They should have a sticky post for farewells that people are required to check in & out of.

make it so no one can read or post on the forums; or play AH until they go back in the farewell thread & declare:

"I tried! I need help! I can't put down the AHII crackpipe!"

That way we can perform a proper intervention. (like AHII rehab) Because they always pick it back up, it gets in your blood.

The withdrawal goes away after awhile, then its like playing a country song backwards, you get your wife back, your friends back, your kids stop refering to you as "The crazy man that keeps asking for roger"..
Enjoy
