we're the ones that 'lost our senses'. He drops those tidbits in threads where we're the idiots trying to flog the dead horse back to life... same old 'bush battles'.. deserving of the same old 'bOOsh is da evil!'.

No no no.... Jebus... no.

Man... we've disected every single thing..... completely. Ad nausium. For a number of years now.

All of us took up our positions, and readied for attack... Which came, followed by the counter attack, and the counter-counter attack and whatever goofy thing else.

Funked didn't "drop tidbits".... (what are tidbits?).... No... He picked a side and started firing.

He ridiculed those of us who share the sentiment that he appearently now wants to share in.

Fine. But remarkable.

The funny (and tragic) thing is.... is that it probably took Comedy Central to make the guy come to his senses.

I always though Funked was being sarcastic.

You have great influence over me Nash.  When you were endorsing Kerry on this BBS, I began sending more money to the NRA.  Thought you'd be happy to know that.:D

Perhaps you did. You'd be mistaken.

It was a stifling of discussion.... during a time when honest discussion and debate was absolutely paramount. The eve of war does not welcome sarcasm, to my way of thinking.

Have doubts? Want to express them? Be prepared to be greeted by "BOOOSH IS TEH HITLER," and see ya later. Buh bye. End of discussion.

No particular viewpoint can be adequately satisfied by "BOOSH IS TEH HITLER."

It's totally retarded. And irresponsible.

But that was all ya got. "BOOSH IS TEH HITLER." As if it was supposed to mean something. As if the mere opposition to it was tantamount to some kind of betrayal not unlike the antics of the Confederated Tinfoil Helmet Wearing Union.

At this point, I don't really care what his motive was. It was insulting. It was stupid, presumptious, wrong-headed, patrionizing, and exactly the kind of discourse that you would absolutely NOT want to hear from an intelligent and considerate populace, intelligently considering WAR.

Funked got sucked in. And but bad. I don't know how, and I don't care.

Yes, and that's why tradition is important, to have a guideline to go by so we don't get too far off course.

Nash is an artist.

That's better than going shooting in a gulleyed out clay pit, and looking over your right shoulder and seeing someone drawing down on you from the road with a scoped rifle.  Kid out with his dad.  I yelled at them and said there were people out here.  Then decided if they shot I was gonna let one of 'em have it with my .45 CVA kit Plains rifle.

The real truth is, he rifle wasn't scoped, it was a .22 I think, but, he didn't lower the weapon immediatly.  Kept his aim.  I was nervous and aimed back and was ready to shoot, but they left then.  I'm not sure they saw us at first.
