Wishing all veterans, past present and future a thank you, and a happy memorial day!  Especially you Scotty!  Thanks everyone, a grateful nation is an awe of your actions and we should all strive to obtain even a fraction of your integrity and character!!!

Thanks to all who serve and especially thank you and to those who are forever on duty.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.

Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own.

And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind."

The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

Let's remember the reason for this holiday.
to those that made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

A big to my grandfather, a WWII vet, who passed on in 1995 from cancer.  Even today he is still my measuring stick of what it means to be a real man in this world.  I only wish I could be home to put flowers on his grave.

True Heroes Never Die

Everyday leads to another
Each one different from the other
Sometimes life don't seem fair
It's a game of do or dare

But true heroes never die
They just leave before good-bye
Hi Ho Silver away
We'll meet again someday

Legends live on and on
You were the unknown phenomenon
It's funny how time slipped by
Like the blink from a teary eye

I see you face in the full moon
Sometimes your voice fills the room
You are my true hero
Your light forever glows

And also a salute to those serving today, putting their lives on the line to defend the freedom of people in another land.

I think this says it better than I can.
