Just heard the un mistakable sound of a WWII Era bomber over head...Looked out and low in behold it was a -17 flying over my house (Trumbull).....Anything planned for today that im not aware of?

Im assuming the 17 belonged to the American Airpower Museum of Long Island, NY...Their website says that Memorial Day Weekend marks the return of "yankee lady"....Wish I had that camera!

Funny how after playing this game for a couple years that you can identify a B-17 by its engines haha

I've had the good fortune to have been in a few different B-17s. I've been in "Fuddy Duddy" and "Thunderbird", along with another B-17 that was touring the country with a B-24. But I dont recall the names of either.

I dont think they're allowed to fly into danbury anymore. If anything they were going to or from oxford. But there is that Corsair thing going on sometime soon. Maybe its for that?

i've seen/been inside 5 b17s and
I've flown on the B17G Yankee Lady from the American Air Power Musuem :-)

Out of all the B17s I've seen the Yankee Lady was the most well maintained, IMO.

Cav Head out to Republic Airport. Every Memorial Day something good is going on there.
