When you are BBQing or hanging out with your buddies enjoying a day off from work or school, take a moment to remember who made those things possible and what this day represents. We must never forget the sacrifice of the men and women who have faught for democracy on far away soil, sand, ice and sea. These brave souls will never again walk among us, but they live on in the hearts of every American.

Long live the Republic!

Today is a very special day for our country. It is also a day that is related to by most. Dad`s, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandfathers, etc. etc.
Just as is being done now, those of the past wars have put it all on the line for freedom and to keep us that way so that we may enjoy the very things that will be enjoyed by most celebrating and remembering those who have served and those who have fallen.

A salute for my brothers of the 9th Infantry Division.. in the Land of Bad Things.

And I offer this.. a symbol of defiance and determination; an offering of the time honored salute of a soldier for his enemy.

Remember, people; why these men and women fight. Honor their sacrafice on election day, as well as today.

Salute to all fallen American heros who gave their lifes so we could have ours.
