Dateline: February 12th, 1942

Yesterdays intense action reminded some pilots of the previous years of fighting over the English Channel. Royal Navy Intelligence caught wind something was in the works. A squadron of German Destroyers was detected heading up the coast towards Cherbourg, Royal Navy Tarpons (Avengers) escorted by RAF fighters managed to dispatch the squadron. The Luftwaffe rose to defend and shot down many of the attackers. The RAF also made some appearances over France, and met heavy opposition. Reports of entire Squadrons of fighters and bombers being lost were being heard on both sides.

Later that morning Luftwaffe squadrons were reporting a fleet of Destroyers heading SW to possibly thwart any attempt of a Channel Dash. The Royal Navy put up a valiant effort shooting down scores of JU88's. But in the end, All Royal Navy Destroyers were sunk as well. In less than a few hours, The British and the Germans had lost hundreds of pilots and sailors.

Two stunned Air Forces will meet over the Channel once again tomorrow, Only the stakes are higher. If these three Cruisers make it through safely and begin to operate in the North Sea or the GIUK (Greenland/Iceland/United Kingdom) Gap, they could wreak havoc on Allied Convoys. Without these ships the Germans lose a powerful force that can compete with the Royal Navy.

The Germans considered scrapping the idea of sending these three precious capital ships to their doom, But High Command has ordered the three cruisers to launch early in the morning. By the time the sun comes up they will be well on their way.

CM AAR:

I'm very sorry for the log foul-up. This frame was a real slugfest, I've decided not to score this frame, Just for the fact that it really could of swung either way. I hope everyone had a good time. I saw and heard about some really good fights, would be nice to see some AAR's.

Good Luck next frame, you will need it.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
