Yep cool names.
FYI USAAC (US Army Air Corps) policy at the beginning of the war was to not give aircraft names, All the names we know and love were supplied by the British for the lend-lease aircraft they flew, We eventually
adopted the British names as standred.
All in all, The Brits have a good track record for giving things the right name, with the possible exception of calling the country the "United" Kingdom
