The second ever ECM had some seriously irate customers as a result. It was so over the top that all subsequent ECMs have been denatured to some extent or another.

This was Captain ICI: he had the flight model of a Tie Fighter, could go 0-400mph in about 5 seconds and 400-0 in about the same (talk about overshoot). He carried modest guns, only a few .50cals IIRC, but he had an unlimited supply of 500lb bombs and rockets for which drag was not modelled. The uproar in the arena was priceless. Guys were typing "did you see that? What was it? Looked like a guy in tights, with a cape!", fun days indeed, even with 28.8 dial-up.

This is my take.

World War II -- 60 Years After: Too Much 'Past' And Not Enough History In Former Yugoslavia

In Serbia, President Boris Tadic
Speaking in Belgrade on 9 May, he warned that there must be no sympathy for those who "flirt with atrocities...[including the] killing of journalists or of people of a different race, religion, or skin color." He argued that World War II was not just a struggle against fascism or Nazism but also "a battle against the evil within us.
