I am very surprised that the JU-87 in AHII does not have the siren. Other than maybe its distinctive shape, it is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of that airplane. Would be cool to have it here.

I agree. I was so disappointed not to hear it!

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

The siren was only used early in the war. It was removed after that. The only craft you might find it on would be a Ju87B-2, one of the major versions before the D that we have in AH. By the time the D was out the siren was old news and long gone. That's why we don't have it.

Ta krusty, never knew that. But admit it, It would be so cool to dive on a town with a scary siren!

Add a siren to the wind file, dive from 5-10K and it will turn on, since the Stuka doesn't cruise very fast it comes on only when in a steep dive, 300-350 knots, something like that.

Rogerdee's idea for adding it to the bomb drop is good too.

True, then -you- would hear it. But what about the poor sods you're bombing?

Admit it, a siren would be divine, if only for divebombing tanks :D

The pilot had a switch he toggled for the siren. If you are doing 350kts, you are exceeding the dive speed limit of 350mph.

I'd fly the darned thing if it had either the 37mm's - or the Siren :D
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

You mean the Ju-87G? No reason not to. Too slow to be a bomber-sniper. And while very powerful again tanks, it's helpless to enemy aircraft. It is, after all, a stuka.

The siren was removed on the D-3 version.  The D-1 had the siren as well as the earlier models.  When the D-3 came out, it was determined that the siren no longer had the psychological effect that it used to and was removed from the Stuka.
