Multiple functions on a single analog input
« on: June 03, 2006, 01:02:35 AM »
PLEASE bring this back... Being able to map normal gunnery buttons but also bomber gunner functions, and also GV driving functions was SO much better before you were forced to use sticksets. I use 2 sticksets, and that's only because I have 9 buttons and 1 hat, I need more buttons!

I don't want to have to toggle between "modes" when I want to shoot bomber turrets, or when I want to shift gears in a GV.

Yeah I kinda missed that too.......

Now I am forced to use three stick maps (stick modes now)

No1 I mapped to + key for Fighters.
No2 I mapped to - key for Bombers. (with the fireall option mapped)
No3 I mapped to \ key for GVs. (with GV gears and select primary weapon options mapped)

What stick map you got? I have a Saitek Cyborg with twist+HAT+throttle+9 buttons.
I only rarely touch the keyboard.....usually for typing.......

MS analog Sidewinder. Trigger, long thumb (wish they'd split it into 2!) 2 more on stick by hat, and 4 on base with a single "thumb button" by the throttle. I just wish it had more buttons!
