help with controlls.
« on: June 03, 2006, 12:23:30 AM »
A new update, i was happy, i like the new start up screen  i like the new hanger set up but they had to mess with my controlls.

This is the layout.  I have a logitech knock off of a ps2 controller(im going to get a stick but until then i will use this, it worked perfectly before).  Ok i have the buttons set like this.  My left analog stick is my "stick" my right analog stick is my rudders.  NOw my d pad is my cockpit views, my guns are set like this, square button is my first guns, x is my secondary guns, and circle is all guns.

NOw this is my problem.  When i start it up in auto take off the engine doesnt go start to full power like before, but this is the big problem.  My "trianlge" button did this when i pressed it, it would take my engine from full power to a zero idle and then when i released it it would go right up to full power.  I need this to work becuase the planes i fly(51 f6f f4u p47) have a habit of packin on too much speed in a dive casueing me to over shoot.  I didnt set it before, it just was automatically like this when i pluged it in.  Please help me out, i dont want this tour to past me by because of some retarded controller problem.  What should i do, should i call ah and see if they can help me or is it simpler then that?

The reason it might have worked before and doesnt now is that they added more functionality.  There are simply more options.  Some things are not "preset".  For instance I use a Nostromo N50 for alot of my secondary functions, and use the slider for throttle.  The BUTTONS are programmed the same because I just imported my old map.  The only thing that did not carry over was my slider set to the throttle axis.  I had to manually select it and select the controller and map it.  Once I did that I have the exact same functions I had in pre-2.08 AH.  Some of your controllers will require the same work to setup your buttons or axes again, but they will work.  You'll just have to put out a little effort.

If you see me online and ask I'll be glad to help walk you through it if you need.
