A recipe for brilliance

Warning: On a graphic scale of 1-10, this gets about a 4

On a stupid scale of 1-10, it gets about a 22

These dumb ****s havn't ever heard of propping it up on a rock or a stick instead of playing william tell with a guy who can barely rub 2 sticks together? Hell the first shot was in the sand below his left toe - maybe that was a hint.

Idiots.

Ah, the morbid and dark sense of humor of our fighting men.  The video was a joke.

Ah yes, ye-olde spoofe clip.  Funnay!

Before anyone blahblah's about waste of govt resources or whatever, I have 2 points.

First, assuming this actually was in afghanistan, the little stunt was probably a great PR event for the Afghani soldiers involved and that alone was worth the 2 bullets expended.  Letting the (allegedly) Afghani soldier do the shooting demonstrated trust and showed them that we have a sense of humor to go along with our expensive firepower.

Second, if it wasn't in Afghanistan, it was probably just a few people messing around on video and therefore not a waste of govt resources.  If the guys had had an accident, they'd obviously get "what was coming to them".

As they apparently survived as evidenced by the poorly suppressed laughter at the end of the clip, no harm actually occurred so no harm, no foul IMHO.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Look closely to the left hand side of the screen before the first shot, at the second person down range… Is he taking aim right before he goes off screen?
Also, considering the delay between the sound of the AK going off & the hits… I’d bet the AK has blanks and the second person down range is using a paint gun.

I'd say that is a good evaluation of the situation. There wasn't a reaction close enough to the shot for it to be a real hit. The concept of the entire situation really ranks down there on the sub intelligent level though. I wonder how many real idiots watching this will try it for real after seeing the video. I predict Darwin will be rather busy due to this video.
