I still don't understand these:-

Sell Short

Buy to Cover

Can someone explain in idiots language what these two phrases mean in the trading drop downs......

Note to self: when a public company threatens to buy back all it's stock and go private, don't hedge bets. WLS was doing great two days ago, then the stock got frozen because the majority stockholder was going trying to buy back all the stock. Some other business was trying to fight that.....I should have known better, but I was hoping it might open back up.

The only glitch is in my head

WLS still existed at noon today when I checked LOL. Apparetnly they were successful in going private.

In reality if the delisting was successful as a result of a buy up in shares you would have sold your shares. So, whatever was the offer price on them when it happened should be added to your cash balance imho.

My main stock (PDR) is up another 7% this morning

It has now gone up 18% since i bought it 2 days ago. That is 1700$ profit in 2 days. I have a sell order in at 3 (bought at 2,4)

Not bad for paying attention for a couple of days.

After a fantastic start it has fallen again. Index is down 1%. I hope it opens good over on your end so we may get a boost before closing.

Oil prices are down abit but i bet the real reason is that people are cashing in after yesterdays huge bump.

Mac...you seem to have a bunch of trades pending. Dunno what happened though.

I am all over the place...started out at 16th spot, checked and saw I was in 7th and now I'm at 10th. Gonna be an interesting day.

The market is going nuts. I started up 3.79%. Was at .2% net within 10 minutes. Now I keep fluctuating an +- 2% every minute.

Just hang in there. I still stand by what i said yesterday. Markets will go up. Its just a matter of a few days for the market to agree on were its going. Some pessimists are still holding it back, but there really are no good reasons for it.
