cool - just read the post about the HQ's for each zone. Does that mean one HQ would be a grand master? or would that be like a an large airfeild thats the zone master for each zone?

Actually the i've only got terrain done right now...was thinking of adding in the HQ and a feild per side to get it where I can eyeball it offline.
Found a few tutorials and post..but it's a whole new ball game for me...lol

It's probably gonna be a weekend thing for now...lol so no hurry. :D

Whoops, wasn't paying attention to what I was typing. You need 1 HQ for each country, then 1 zone master (airfield) per zone that does not have an HQ.
So HQ in zones 1-3. Then in the other zones 1 airfield is the zone master.

cool - might try to get that done this evening...lol

Now -a funny question.. whats the best way to lay out feilds? Do all the airfeilds per zone, then vhs / port so they're in some sorta order? That way feild 1 isn't right next to feild 199 which in turn is right next to 43 and 85?

Depends on how you want to set it up, doesn't raelly matter. On my recent map I used custom airfields (SEA map) so had to manually place the plane spawn points. I went through and placed all of the large fields, then all of the small fields, then all of the vbases, then all of the ports. So A1 is next to P59. That just saved time for me.
Since you have to use default fields for your map you could take the time to place them so they are in order. Just depends on how picky you are about that kind of thing.

yeh - I think i'm just gonna clan up the terrain right now and then wait to see what the HTC gurus think about the map idea...no use building something that they can't / won't use.  :)

I'd suggest you use the Make Map menu and export a 2048 x 2048 bitmap.  Then with a program like Photoshop, place you fields and strat on a second layer, add the field numbers to yet a third layer.  Print it out and building the terrain will be much easier and you already know PS.  Covert it to jpg and post it here and email it to htc for review before you get too far, that'll avoid a lot of frustration. And htc won't accept imbedded jpegs, send it as a normal attachment but you probably already know that.

Place your 3 HQs first, they're the initial Zone masters like Raptor said.
When you run into trouble, exit and relaunch, place the first object, save and exit.  The TE must have the various files on disk before it works right and they aren't always created until the first time you try to do something, i.e. roads.

After your sounds and skins we're expecting great things. :)
Easy in-game again.
