Need Your Help...
« on: June 07, 2006, 12:24:20 AM »
I was going through some old Zip disks today when I found a disk full of very old Air Warrior for Windows films. There are hundreds dating back to the first days it was on AOL in 1996. I really want to watch them but I dont know how I would go about finding a copy of AW4W. I realize the program might not run in XP but I have an old Win 98/Dos box that I play old games on. If anyone can tell me where to find an install file, I would really be greatful.

If not, I have a boxed copy of AW4W.  I'd have to have my brother dig it out of storage and mail it to me.  I have AW3 and AWMV here on an old hard disk, but AW4W and AW2 are boxed sets in my grandmother's basement along with alot of my stuff I left behind.

kreacher, Reacher15 on here, converted an old AW3 film into MP4.  Was neat seeing how far the flight sims have come since then.  Good luck!

That would be a real time capsule for us folks who started on AOL about that time.  Let us know if you come across any good ones :)

ok the search goes on...sharp tried his viewer for me but unfortunately it was a no go.

I found my AWII and III cds and installed them. I can view all my AW2 and 3 films perfectly. Watched some old Scnenario films....I was so much better at AW lol. My SA was insane. Now its so so. I guess my younger mind could think quicker?? =)

Hell, I still have dozens if not hundreds of my old AW4W/AW2/AW3 films zipped up into one big file.  Talk about the good old days.

I tried to find some of those missions where you, JDawg and I took up IL2s and spoke like Russians on vox, but I guess I dont have those anymore. Those were hilarious. Good Ol Days indeed.

What program/process did you use to do this?  I'd like to preserve some of my old ones before that old hard drive goes Kaput forever.

Jeez, talk about flashbacks.  How bout Yaks and trying to type like Russians :)

Seem to recall a few of those and laughing to the point of tears when folks would run from the flock of Yaks.
