The Omen - Released Tue. Jun. 6th

I thought this was an above average movie.  From seeing many scary movies in the past, I thought this movie would be much like the others - just not scary enough.  In The Omen, there are moments that make you jump out of your seat.  Moments that make you think for a second time: what the hell?  I got lost a time or two in the movie, but it wasn't important enough to ruin it.  I think the movie did a great job in going in-depth with history and information from the past to explain what is really happening.  It may be very fake to some viewers, but I still believe the story was good.

I give The Omen an 8/10. - Worth my time, but not the greatest scary film i've seen.  I recommend others to see it.

There was no need to remake this movie save for making more money for Hollywood. The review I read said the only thing superior in the remake was Damien's nanny protector.

They would have done just as well or better to just re-release the Gregory Peck version on 6/6/06.  :)

I never liked the original move much and didnt find it scary at all so I doubt I will see this one. I do love scary movies but for some reason I find The Omen really dull, and not the great classic its hyped up to be.

If anyone here finds it better than the original I will give it a try.
