Sorry, but Hitech says you need to pay attention to where everyone else is, and also to stop shooting them. For having the best SA in the game, you who an obvious lack of it.

The OP's right.  Don't know what the rest of ya'll are smoking, but I guess Killshooter adds oh-so-much to the realism of the game.

Oh wait...

I've been on someone's six, d400 or less when ID-10-T comes smoking past me at Mach 4 with no chance of a shot.  Ma duece hits him, I lose my tail.  Also had rounds fly past a vulcher and hit someone who just spawned at the end of a runway.  That was a fun time...

Cost me perkies or apply negs to my score for shooting a friendly.  Ground me if it happens too often (old AW flashbacks), but I understand the frustration it causes.  And sometimes there's no way to prevent it; if someone's stupid enough to fly infront of me while I'm putting lead into a target, they should pay the penalty, not me.

If you kill youself its your fault. Always. The sooner you realize that, the better for you.
Killshooter will never change.

P.S. As far as i remember, i kill myself single time since 2001.

Raptor01 you are so right.  It is getting to the point that if you don't totally destroy the enemy plane some friendly will come along an steal your kill.  That is very frustrating if you have fought the guy for 5 minutes and then managed to get in position to take him out and a countryman then pings him as he is falling tailess or wingless and gets the kill.

I usually have better luck if I aim at the guy I'm trying to clear, and let his attacker fly into the stream. Then again I'm one of those hit everything but what I'm aiming at guys.:D

The only time I can think of that killshooter stinks is when a buff is attacked and a friendly tries to help by attacking the enemy just as he gets in gun range of the bomber. In that case the only guy safe to fire his guns is the one attacking the bomber.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

So, since it's unrealistic, we should make it as unrealistic as possible, just so you guys can shoot through friendlies to get a kill?

"you guys" being those who get frustrated by tards flying through our bullet stream, or flying past a target who has 3 bombers pouring .50 cals into a him who kills off friendlies with his ineptness?  I'm the guy who gets mad at the jeep parked infront of my Panzer main gun; the jeep that ends up killing me as he's 4-wheeling through my tank as I'm engaging enemy armor.  So yeah, make it so 'us guys' can thin out the genetic pool a little bit and prevent these kinds of fools from ruining our day with the way they feel they should play the game.

200:  OMFG, you killed me!  I flew my jet through your plane to kill that guy you were fighting and your bullets shot a wing off!  That's not how it is in WoW!!

Like I mentioned in the rest of my post Hubs, take away perks or, if I do hit a friendly have some blue text scroll accross my screen "warning from high command:  You have hit a friendly target!  Repeated incidents could ground you! "  I definately should be careful with my line of fire, but others should respect that as well, and enter my bullets' path at their own peril, not mine .

Ain't gonna happen ...

Turn killshooter off and the amount of whines and phone calls to HTC due to "fragging" would pale in comparison to the noise generated by those who die from shooting friendlies.

Change killshooter so that your bullets pass thru a friendly without doing damage ... the amount of whines and phone calls to HTC due to "kill stealing" would pale in comparison to the noise generated by those who die from shooting friendlies.

Oh, I agree it'll never happen.  Not enough cheese in the world for what that would bring.

Question though.  Leaving HT out of it and the whine tsunami that would follow removing killshooter in its current state, which would you rather have?

Killshooter as it is?

"No effect" to bullets impacting friendlies, much like our collision model?

Punishment for repeated fragging of friendlies, with a more realistic "what yer bullets hit, gets damaged, friend or foe" model.

Not that it'll change anything; just interested in the different views of some peeps

I've told some family and friends about how HT handles team killers.
Each and every one has stated to the effect of "I wish XXX did the same thing. It would put an end to griefers in xxx"  xxx being game of choice.

It's a simple and effective way to make you think before pulling the trigger.
