We should really start a pool on how long it will take ppl to return. I say 1 month ` 1 week 3 days,21 hours ,5 min and 17 sec.
I wish it would only be a week.

He and I chatted on the phone the other day. I could tell he was not going to change his mind. I am crossing my fingers I will see him come the end of the year, but sooner than that, don't hold your breath.

He has been the X.O. of the 332nd Flying Mongrels forever it seems. I sure will miss him.

I almost never visit the GD anymore, I don't know why I did it today.

Even if I stopped playing AH almost 2 yrs ago, I remember Ghosth as the always helpful CO of my squad the 332, flying the La-5 before the La-7 was introduced and gave Lavochkin a bad name ;).

I hope for the community that this is only temporary.

Ghosth, enjoy the summer and read some good SF books for me (don't forget the reviews on our forum, though!).

Sorry to hear that Ghosth, however I am beginning to understand what you might mean.  Would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being the first guy to jump right in and help me. It was my first week on and you spent a lot of real time and effort helping me understand the game. Thank you and

HT knows we're just a bunch of Yo-Yo's.  Leave-come back.  Leave-come back.

I've lost so many perk points that way.   :)

Well if your starting a pool, bet your money on daddog. :)

Weather starts getting cold up here come october. I MIGHT get the bug by then.
More likely that its going to take longer than that I think.

Thanks for all the good thoughts & well wishes folks. Its guys like you that will bring me back eventually. Just be patient. :)

I read these good bye signoffs both with curiosity and fear, curiosity in which two week newbie that nobody knows is leaving (again), and fear that AH lost a veteran player and community member to burnout or boredom, this is the worse type.

To lose a community pillar, trainer, veteran pilot and all round good guy all in one shot is a blow to the game as a whole.

CYA Ghost, thanks for all you've done for the game , I hope you have a great summer and come back in the fall, (I have a pal wanting to start and was gunna arrange some training :(   )

Take care .

I Vote we get HTC to put an unmanned (unshootable) VAL on the TA airfield sitting next to the Tower, with chocks on the wheels and a Custom skin by Waffle........

An While they are at it A small sign in the front of the VAL

Great idea. Coad it so that any noob not following instructions on the sign is sent home with a copy of the local TV guide for an hour.
