The new terrain editor
« on: July 14, 2006, 08:04:11 PM »
Here's some news for anyone downloading the new editor,  number one the controls are messed and the only thing other then the fugged up controls is that it has the jeep, here's what I've done to over come the control problem, I loaded the new editor in a differant folder then changed its name so I can have in a useable place, HTC is where I put it after the  name change if you don't do this it will ask you if want to replace because the file folder has the same name as old editor, I suggest you use the old editor to do all your building in, once your map is completed copy your map put copied map into folder in the new editor before you build goto setting then field setup and remove jeep where it not applicable which is the CV group, this post is mainly about the controls but its nice not to get frustraited when the controls are all screwed up.

If you are talking about the CM Eye controls, you have to map them in the game.  They are not mapped at all, by default.

I'll double check in my terrain editor, but if you have not mapped the commands, they will not work.

Hi Skuzzy Sir, all I was saying in the editor before the new one came out is all the controls work great w/out having to map anything, some may not mind mapping the controls in the new editor but for me its just easier useing the other version, for my build though when my map is complete I will be useing the new editor to remove the jeeps from CV groups, I really hope you like my map when I submit it, I've spent alot of time on the front line bases making them hard to take, each front line base has 2 spawn points from the rear so taking bases will take a team effort, anyway its almost done. And btw I do now understand about convoys and factories, THX for all your help. SALUTE

Skuzzy, unless you have to re-map it after getting the TE, I think your wrong. Cause I have my controlls mapped for CM Eye in AHII. I tried the same controlls in the TE, but they did not work.

Oh, and Verbal, write me a PM or an e-mail. I will get you a tutorial on the TE.:aok
