No Throttle Help
« on: June 12, 2006, 04:02:22 PM »
The slider on my throttle just died. I landed after a good fight, tried to take off again and...nothing. It was full throttle and I couldn't adjust it. All I have now is full throttle and WEP.

I tried relogging, recalibrating the joystick and all that. When I tried to recalibrate the joystick in the Windows Game Controllers program, it showed the slider/ throttle doing nothing. I guess the slider went poop inside.

I tried going to the Map Controls and resetting the - and = keys for throttle up and down but that doesn't seem to do any good. Still no throttle control. I assume that's because the game figures my throttle is being controlled by the joystick slider so it nulled the keyboard throttle commands?

Any ideas for getting the game to not recognize the slider on my joystick so I can at least use the keyboard for throttle until my new joystick arrives?

When trying to map throttle back to keyboard.... did you set the throttle axis back to in Map Controller?

Im not sure if that works though.... in my experience, as soon as AH thinks you got a throttle lever, it blocks keyboard throttle control.

Another wild try: If theres no JS, the mouse wheel defaults to throttle control...
21 is only half the truth.
