I think all thats going on is Suppa's fault for making this game look so SWEEEET :noid

But really who cares about score I get to play once a month if that right now, all I do is go furball and have.....(wait heres a word most should try)...........FUN  we all know how to score and whos a good stick, I know when Ive worked a fight hard and see a Vets name on the shoot down sheet what a good feeling you get. I dont need to see it on page 1 or page 40 for that. So if you like your name on page 1 fine by me but Ive killed them and they have killed me, so dosent mean squat to me. :aok

While you're correct, bug, that was real war; this is cartoon war lite. The quality of the decisions made drops considerably when no one gets hurt, an those "kids" also had some sort of formal training.

Wow so much emotion over a game. I might as well add my thoughts LoL. firstly as a GAME who cares about rank and score. To be highly ranked means being proficient in all departments. In examining the high scorers the majority of them I have never fought and as I am always apparently on a one sided defence {those who know me know me know what i am talking about LoL }you would think I would come up against them at least now and again. The scoring system is unrealistic... look it takes time and skill to get bombers through to a heavily defended target ...hit it... then safely land...yet you get nothing in comparison to taking off in a horde and vulching some  defenceless poor guy trying to take off. taking out a tiger is almost suicide unless you stay on the base as look what you have to land just to break even. there is no score when a field gun shoots down a 262 or kills a tiger ????  And whats with the proxy kills...I was running supplies to a base that had enemy gvs all over it...every time I landed some guy who never even saw me got a proxy kill do I lose points on my gv kill to death...??? does his improve ???? LoLI am not knocking the game just those that think that score matters. We have a great game that is never the same lets just enjoy it for what it is... a brilliantly concieved and operated sim with great tech support and back up....thanks guys

Well obviously several members of the community DO care about score and rank and don't appreciate score padding.  Yes it is a game and do we keep score in any other games?  Do people take those scores seriously?
No amount of "I don't care about score so why should you?" posts are going to change this.  Makes about as much sense as arguing who has the best favorite color (by the way it's red and anyone who likes blue must be belittled and ridiculed for their opinion).

Score padders, IMO, are like those people with a cart bulging full of groceries in the express line.  My life ain't ruined but they do piss me off.

Care all you want , nobody says you shouldn't. It's not the end of the world if a couple of tardlets blow themselves up to inflate their scores. Actually anybody doing that will get found out sooner or later , and suffer for it . Over concern with scores probably has a lot to do with people gaming the game.

I'm just now starting to fly in the MA after years of just flying in the AVA. The amount of talent and people flying in the MA is huge compared to where I have been flying. It tends to make me not worry about ranking. I don't have the free hours or the skill to make a run at the top 100. Maybe if I did  score infalting would bother me more. I guess guys with double digit rankings would be easier to upset over this than a guy like me in the quadruple digits. Etheir way it shouldn't distract from a great sim, and we're lucky to even have something like this.:)

firstly I dont think it says anywhere in my post that others shouldnt care about their scores in fact I was definate in stating that everyone pays and should play how they wish.my main point wa that THE SCORES MEAN NOTHING...HAVING A HIGHER RANK DOESNT MAKE YOU BETTER EITHER IN HERE OR REAL LIFE. Rank would mean more if the different groups had their own ladder but a guy who likes to just fly or use gvs finds easy ways to get the other groups higher some people openly admit that gaining bases or winning the war means nothing...others openly state that they hate strat killers, vulchers or spawn campers. The point is it shouldnt matter what others do enjoy the game and play it to suit yourself thats my way of looking at it. The map changes and whats mine today is yours tommorow . Anyone who has played this game long enough knows how to keep their rank up its just most dont care. personally permanently put me at the bottem it wont spoil my game.

No you didnt misread that part of the post just disregarded the rest lol....how can score or rank matter with proxy kills vulching, strat killing on undefended factories and milk runs when every ones asleep etc....and all the other ways we all know that with time and numbers we can all inflate our rankings.   thats no true measure of skill and locking all values of all types of vehicles etc,,, to get an agregate score just makes it more un realistic...I could stay at back bases ...only go on line when numbers are low...only go out in mission strength... cherry pick etc... but to me like I said it aint worth it. I have been on bases that were fully up defending against mission strength raids and couldnt get a pilot to up in case they were picked and it affected their rank lol... 1 guy landed and left me on my own because he thought he would get bombed and wanted to land his kills ...We all know the good pilots etc... they dont need to be any position on the board...just take a look at the ranking and think of the guys you constanly see landing kills...thats the true measure...the guy that will fly or drive miles to help or re supply you..sorry we differ but then again like I said we all pay and play the game the way we think it should be played but if this were real...who would you like to fight with ..someone worried about every move they make in case it affected their rank or a team player???

Those are my sentiments entirely smitty. Hope to see you in the MA. I spend about half my time in the H2H rooms teaching new guys from any country in gvs and buffs. I get as much enjoyment at seeing them get good as I do shooting down some one in the MA.
