Is it just me who finds it strange that the Spit IX is added AFTER the VIII?

In realtiy the IX entered service in 1942, the VIII in 1943.

Yup you got it - the VIII came AFTER the IX, not vice versa.

Just to help you out (major variants)-

1940 Spit Ia / Ib
1941 Spit Vb
1942 Spit Vc / IXc
1943 Spit VIII / LF IXc / XII
1944 Spit XIV / XVI / LF IXe
1945 Spit F.21

As an aside - the 1942 F IXc (ours) was NEVER used in the Pacific/ Far East

lmao

only concern I have is that the uber-fast boston is introduced when the Japanese forces only 2 fighters that have a hard time overtaking anything, but that's not anything we can fix with this planeset :)
