My son has used the free AOL trial 2-3 times when he's moved and is waiting for DSL to be turned on. Everytime he cancels he goes through something like that. He even tells the person right up front that he was just using the trial for free access while waiting for DSL. I can't blame AOL for at least harrassing him though what they hope to gain i don't know. Harrassing a long time customer that wants to cancel is just plain stupid I think.

AOL is grabbing a straws..their market share is shrinking at a huge rate. Frankly I can't wait until that beast breathes it's last breath and dies.

Those idiots like to pay twice for access?

Lets see if you have broadband..you pay your ISP, then pay again for AOL?

People that do that do not have the brainpower to use the intardnet in the first place and don't deserve to surf anyway.

I still recall how AOL fought tooth n nail not to allow its subscribers access to the Web...instead trying to limit them to only their offerings.  Didnt they get sued a handful of times for continuing to bill people after they cancelled their service?
