But I don't agree that fighter towns are the best thing this game can offer.

Your right, the best things that can be offered are in the Special Events Arena.

I get cherried in FT quite a bit

Yea it's like a Prissy FFA room in H2H, follow the leader shoot'em up!

I am, however, amazed at how many good 1v1s I've found in there in the past few days

I am not amazed in the slightest Vudak.Myself and Platan0 and a younger guy named LKS were on the same channel fighting in FT Thursday.1 rook, 1 bish, and 1 knight (sounds like the start of a bad joke) on the same channel fighting in FT.Of course Platan0 and I were the only ones in P-40's and the only ones at 20-K plus in FT, i seen it was the same as anyother map in the rotation, hardly anyone will fight you unless you:(A) turn around and fly the other way, and (B) they cherry pick you while you are engaged.

It wouldn't be so bad but the fact these people deny ever doing anything remotely close too that and throw a furry of names your way.One of these persons was En4CeR, i dove down on too him at 23-k, he was in a tempest, he fly's right by me after i clearly try too engage .So i go on and see this spit16 climbing too me(babyseal giveaway) and i start my run.On the second pass with the spit i see the tempest again.Only this time He is coming at me while i am engaged with his gurlfriend in the spit.I call him out on 200 he says i was making that up and blah blah blah.

So i review the film and attach too his plane after i met him the first time.He straight flew toward  a 1 on 1 already in progress, tryed too pick, then fly's too the deck for a easy vulch and then does what he says  is " Extend " .

It just kills me how a majority of these so called " Veteran" pilots talk all this and that and all you ever see them land kills in is " Uber Late War" rides.Maybe i should just give up and join the crowd, go up me a tempy and fly around cherry pickin and vulchin, but i can't because even though this is a game the idea of that makes me sick.So you awesome late war plane flyers keep playin down on the easy level with the seals, i will ride up high in the Early rides.

Keep a look out in FT for me, i will be the P-40 up there waitin for some one too grow some gonadzz and come get sum.

as do I.

but... I still don't get it... FT or CV's never take more than a third or so of the arena from the all important "win the war and get the Hawiian vacation that is the prize"  Yet.... the mouse weilders complain that if you have an area that is for fun....  Everone will go there and ruin it for them..

Do me a favor, AP...  If yer gonna quote me, quote the entirety...  Because my "I get cherried quite a bit" sentence was the nicest way I could put it to you that if you're gonna call it a cherry bowl, it's because of your own poor SA.

I beg to differ, the majority of them go looking for the cherry pick from Jump Street.I have lots of film to prove it.What good will it do me, prolly not much they will still remain timid backbiters, i shall call them Marv Alberts from now on.I really liked the idea for the DA, would solve alot fo these issues. We use to get 40 too 50 for Tank Klubb in the Da don't see why a furball klubb cannot be organized.

Hey, a lot of people go for the HO right away too, but if I get nailed by it, it's my own darn fault...  If I get cherried, I should've been paying more attention, it's just the way I see it, your views may vary.

This is true.At the same time i am juggling 2 enemy planes in a High ENY plane they fly lowest ENY planes and have to shoot and fight you while your not looking.I knew the cherry picker was there the whole time he just wouldn't engage until i wasn't looking and when flying the P-40 Threat assesment dictates going with the closest enemy, not the tempest 4.9 away and acting timid. My staements were directed at that timid Marv Alberts.

Vudak if you took any of my statements the wrong way then i appologize sir no disrespect was meant for you.

I had a lot of fun in FT last night.  I am very rusty, but other than being vulched by an La-7 once I didn't see anything bad.  I didn't see the masses chasing a single aircraft or anything, it was just a big, fun brawl.

So I died a lot.  Who cares.  I grabbed another Spit VIII and went at it again.

I just realized I've been misunderstood, apologies for being so slow. It's all my fault, I chose the wrong words and didn't really understand Hoarach's first reply. Must be the language barrier or something... When I wrote about an alternative I didn't mean a better way to play is to go strat bombing. No, no, never! My point was that in Donut everyone fights in the FT and if you don't want to be there the only thing left is boring bombing runs to undefended bases.

There, I hope that made it clearer :)

LOL, I didn't know you had to have SA while flying at 20k+...

Hardly much to look out for unless you are looking down.  :lol

The great thing about fighter town is the amount of victims all concentrated in one place.  I agree with Capn Virg that we ought to see it about 3 more times than we do now. :aok

Donut, Fighter town, whatever, it is the dog bowl of dogfighting!  It is the cherry bowl of cherrypicking!  It is the Ho bowl of hoing!  Although I will say it does occasionally have a bad odor but only when Moronpheus is flying there.:aok

I'm new here: this is fighter town to me. I Love not having to fly real far just to get shot down and start over again. I'm working on skill level so a quick fight is a fast way to learn. I love when we get that nice tight little group over the pond there and u dive in take a bite then go back up for another dive. This is way cool. And the alt monkeys up there have taught me a good bit about using my view keys and learning SA. Man, I died fast fast many times, but so what, I am learning, so its all good. I love fighter town.:aok
