I say time to pick on someone else.  This is getting a bit ridiculous.  Get rid of the UN embargo.

It's been discussed many times in the last few months - there were some interesting threads on it, but I can't remember the topic names; although they were sparked by the recent US/UK bombing of Iraq.

What I find amusing is that the same crowd that want to lift the sanctions now are pretty much the same people who were in the "give a year to let the sanctions bite, no war" crowd the Fall before the Gulf War (Interesting how that whole business has been totally forgotten..remember the hordes of people insisting sanctions would force Saddam out of Kuwait with no military action?)

Guys I am all for obeying orders, havent disobeyed one yet. But you just wouldn't believe how much monmey the US spends attempting to enforce the no-fly zones, in Northern and Southern Iraq. As you probably know, we are still actively flyign comnbat sorties, and at times I would call them offensive. However they are in response to what Iraq did..illuminate our AC with their radar. there are certain rules of engagement that we must follow but i assure you that we drop many pounds of ordinance, as is on the news from time to time.
