My mom has a Frontier, and she had problems with her brakelights.  The 3rd light worked fine, but the 2 at the back didn't work at all.  Put in new bulbs, the sockets looked fine, etc etc.

She ended up taking it to the Nissan place and paying a Cnote for the guy to tell her that it was the bulbs.  And she said the shop guy had no idea why all the ones I put in didn't work.

After 4 years in the Dodge Dakota... I still never have to deal with that kind of stuff.  Gas, oil, go.

So much for the myth of japanese workmanship.

Right, because I'm the only useless post... k.  Be glad I'm not an insecure teen or I could be dead by now.:aok

I've had Japanese cars, I've had american cars... Both can suck.  Both can rock.

General rule... If you're looking at a 4 or 6 cyl, japanese is solid stuff and if you're looking 8, go American...

But that doesn't mean much when we start talking about electrical problems does it?

I had a Toyota Tercel that ran 285,000 of the hardest most unmaintained miles a car could ever suffer... One Thermostat... And one timing belt..  other than that, filters, oil and gas.  Good car.  If you don't mind owning a boring car.

Its not like the japanese suck at building cars... My point is, the Americans have largely caught up and the tables have turned.  If you think buying Japanese is a guaranteed stamp of quality, then you my friend are the fool.

Anyhow, I don't need to ask you to virtually kill yourself in order to illustrate my point, so I guess I'm without a closer... peace.
