Cursor will just drop to bottom of screen
« on: June 03, 2006, 03:22:37 PM »
I have a Saitek X-52 and use a Logitech MX310 optical mouse. The on screen cursor will not stay put so that I can click on buttons and such. It will just start to fall to the bottom of screen. Mouse is USB but connected to PC via an adapter that goes into the mouse port. When I want to play I'll plug in the stick and go and open up the game. I'll then do a calibration and it's all good for about a half a flight and then its the freefalling cursor thing. Got  the timing it down a little bit as to be able to click on some things right as the mouse pass over the button. But after awhile the speed at whick it falls increases. No option then but to alt-F4 out of the game. At first I was sure it was the game (still think the game has something to do with it though) but now when I exit I'll still get that. So I'll unplug the X5-2 and its gone. Any ideas on what it could be? And how to fix. Thanks

I have the exact problem which started after the recent game changes.

I've tried everything, driver changes, etc. but no go.  If I reboot, in windows the mouse behaves fine, but if I go into AH, the cursor drifts downward making play impossible.  Then coming out of AH, the cursor retains that behavior.  If I never go into AH at all, my mouse behaves normally.  This leads me to believe that AH has caused this problem.
