I'll be devil's advocate here, but...

Washington has said it will join EU states in talks with Iran if Tehran agrees to halt uranium enrichment.

I see it as a "no-compromise" stance...surely, you do not expect them to bend over and take the pill, do you?

It's not going to hurt Iran one bit to temporarily halt enrichment, while talks are being conducted.

The real "compromise" for Iran is how much incentives is it worth for them to stop.  Maybe there is no price for them.  If that is the case you may want to invest in a bomb shelter, the next time someone prints a cartoon of muhammad you may need one...

North Korea was provided many incentives to halt uranium enrichment by the Klinton regime and no doubt is proving to be the template followed by such governments as Iran.  I would not trust any Iranian regime to do it any differently than Pyongyang has already done it.

We will reap the fruits of our destruction tenfold.

You characters do realize that the current Iranian President was the leader of the 'students' that took 53 american hostages 25 years ago?

Yah, this guy is motivated to negotiate. After all, he has experience in negotiating with Americans. (iran-contra, anybody?)

I have to agree with Yeager on this one. Those folks have absolutely no reason to slow down or suspend their goals. If they can obtain a weapon it makes them far more likley to remain in control of their little part of the world.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I also heard that turned out to be false. This guy was doing bad things even then, but wasn't involved in the Embasy situation.

Even so, more posturing.

I heard on the radio that the Canadians went nuts, because an Iranian dude who is in charge of their Gestapo, and has shut down over 90 newspapers in Iran - had taken a Canadian photojournalist of Iranian descent hostage and tortured, raped and killed her brutally.

He (mister Gestapo) then showed up at the United Nations council on human rights. How big a joke was that?! The Canadian parliment guy on the radio was doing everything sort of having Canada declare war on Iran.
