USB device tables????
« on: June 27, 2006, 02:23:36 AM »
Hey guys I got me one of those 3.5 IDE to USB hard drive enclosures to basicaly back stuff up on and transfer files from outside of network. This past weekend I reformatted my gaming computer and used this drive to move all my stuff on to.

After loading XP Pro and my files back onto my reformated drive my US enclosure threw some kind of error that when I now plug it into my gaming computer I get a warning box that tells me the USB device I am using is unrecognizable. I can take the same drive that I am getting an error on and throw it onto another computer using XP Pro and everything acts like normal.

So I'm figuring that some kind of device ID got thrown in the "Do Not Enter Under Any Circumstances" file. Also when looking at my device manager I get an unknown device that is active in my USB listings.

Is there a table or file somewhere I can edit to clear this error?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
