Well, I searched but couldn't find anything on my question.

Do you NEED to have a joystick to play Aces high.

I hope this helps... from the front page:

Although you can (?) play with your mouse, I'd recommend to buy a stick.

That depends on definition of NEED ;)

You can do all things in this game just with a mouse instead of a joystick. Quite a number of people do. BUT, and this is a big "but", it´s much more difficult than with a joystick. There are actually a few mousewielders  who managed to be as successful & deadly as the best stickflyers, but they are very few in numbers. If you are not that gifted, any joystick will most probably improve your game experience by a huge margin. It does not need to be a 300$ full HOTAS setup, get yourself a cheap 20$ stick with a hat and after 2-3 days you´ll know what I´m talking about :aok

Quite true, if you eant a nice setup for a low Saitek sells reconditioned X45s for $39.99. I've seemthem for as low as $20.00 in the box on eBay. That is a Fine HOTAS for a new player.
