Last airshow I attended was about 10 years ago. That was the most impressive demonstration of the show.

Wouldn't that be RATO? Seem small for jets...dunno.

What are those curly things behind the props? They attached ribbons there? or is that a smoke/turbulence/picture effect?

I'd guess it's the fact that the props have brightly colored/reflective tips and the shutter was left open too long (which can be the tiniest amount of time with things spinning that fast).

I love taking pics with slow shutter speed. If you take a pic of a buisy street or whatnot everything that is stationary gets real good and sharp, but people and cars gets that cool effect.

Contrails, not exposure.  

High humidity day, low pressure in front of the prop blade condenses water vapor out of the air momentarily, until local air pressure restores to normal.

Cool effect, aint it?
