What Americans need to remember this 4th
« on: July 05, 2006, 12:05:05 AM »
Got this from a friend who i went to highschool with who is in Iraq right now..........Gives you something to think about, dont it?!

SLEEP LAST NIGHT?

Bed a little lumpy...

Toss and turn any...

Wish the heat was higher...

Maybe the a/c wasn't on...

Had to go to the john...

Need a drink of water...

Yes... It is like that!

Count your blessings, pray for them,
and
the next time  when...

or you have to park a little further from the store than you want to be,
or the shower runs out of hot water,
or you're sitting and cursing the traffic in front of you,

Think of them...

Protecting your freedom!

DO NOT DELETE-PLEASE PASS ON - Message from Iraq

The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute To our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could think of doing that is By taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. It would be awesome if you could find a way to share this with our fellow countrymen. I
was wondering if there was anyway to get this into your papers to let the world know that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" and are proud to serve our country!" Semper Fi

The attached photo was forwarded from one of the last U.S. Marine companies in Iraq. They would like to have it passed to as many people as possible, to let the folks back home know that they remember why they're there and that they remember those who've been lost.

Hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July, but let us not forget there are men and women out there defending this freedom of ours!!

God bless the USA and our troops!

You can't ask these questions and still support the troops.

Yea, we all just need to forget about the training camps in Iraq............and the finacial supply network........and the large safe house full of sand that was guaranteed safe harbor and passage as need be..........and..and.......Oh yea, I`m trying to forget those things.
Yep, ole Sadman was just a biggy ole cuddly teddy bear who meant no one no harm. He is just misunderstood.

Hehe. Someone is a little miffy over a celebration on July 4th. I wonder why? :)

A bunch of us hooligans from around the area got together for a little charring of the beef for our celebration. We needed to hang out in the back yard around the smoker to insure that the meat didn`t burn. Real early. :) It`s pretty warm in Texas, so you had to keep your liquid intake up for health purposes . One of guys who I`ve known for a long , long time got a little earlier start than the rest of us. He is a lifetime professional bar furniture stacker. One of the best I`ve ever know, he just never could figure out how to make a living doing it. :) He was redlined celebration mode by meal time and had been keeping the rest of us rib busting sore with laughter and watching him do his thing.
When everything was ready we were all busy getting our plates filled and showing our support for aluminum recycling effort. We were all prety much sit down at the picnic tables and about to dive into the Q. All of a sudden our rebel rouser stopped everyone in place with a loud "What`s wrong with you ************s. Remember why we`re celebrating. Raise your glasses"
Then short and sweet he made the toast......." To our bros in uniform, present and past who protect our freedom."
Everyone was pretty quiet for a couple of minutes, then one of the guys told him "Sweet bro. Didn`t know you had it in ya."
He replied "By Gawd I may be drunk, but I R Americun." The fun and celebration was back on.
Democracy is two wolves deciding on what to eat. Freedom is a well armed sheep protesting the vote.
